JOSE Z. FLORES November 19, 1925 - January 28, 2015 Jose Z. Flores, 89, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. He was a retired rancher of the "Flying Moon" ranch in Encinal and proudly carried out his duties for over 70 years. Jose was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ramona C. Flores; children, Daniel "Danny O'Brien", Josephine Flores; and his granddaughter, Cathy Flores. Jose is survived by his children, Frank (Gloria) Flores, Tomas (Lupe) Flores, Mona Ortega, Diana Sanchez, Lydia (Armando) Garcia; grandchildren, JoAnn (Joe) Mendoza, Frank Flores Jr., Susie (Manuel) Ramos, Tomas (Chris) Flores Jr., Annette (Joe) Perez, Daniel Flores Jr., Daniella Flores, Thelma (Brian L.) Ginn, Debra (Kyan L.) Barrios, Paula (Arturo) Ramirez, Bertha A. (Jon Henderson) Ortega, Benjamin Michael (Lisa) Sanchez, Patricia (Roger) Cazares, David (Katie) Sanchez, Sara L. Sanchez, Jennifer G. (Eudelio) Rodriguez, Amanda G. (Juan Luis Jr.) Rios, Brenda Garcia, Liana Garcia; 27 great grandchildren; brother, Roberto Esteban (Elsa) Flores; as well as numerous other loved relatives and friends. The family will receive family and friends on Friday, January 30, 2015 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapel, 1410 Jacaman Rd. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral procession departs from the funeral home at 9 a.m. to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Encinal, Texas for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will then follow to the Encinal City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Frank Flores Sr., Tomas Flores Sr., Tomas Flores Jr., Frank Flores Jr., Benjamin Michael Sanchez, and David Antonio Sanchez.
