Jose Contreras

Jose Manuel Contreras at the age of 16 was baptized in to Jesus Christ.-At the age of 47, he received the Holy Ghost in the Apostolic Missionary Church in Crystal City, Texas. Brother Jose Contreras was dedicated to the Ministry on March 16th 2002 by the President of Organization, Pastor Jose Anzaldua from Kenosha, WI. He later founded a church in 1999 in Laredo, Texas where he ultimately became Pastor.

He attended elementary school in Crystal City, TX and middle school in Lubbock, TX and labored as a migrant worker in regal China. He arduously maintained employment at Ocean Spray for 10 years in Kenosha, WI from 1965-1975; Halliburton-for 15 years in Carrizo Springs, TX from 1975-1990 and lastly TASCO Tool Services for 17 years in Alice, TX from 1991-2008.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Angel and Mara Isabel Contreras and parents-in-law, Crestino and Mara de Jess Ynosencio.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Esther Contreras; children, Dina (Ben) Garca, Nina (Isidro) Hernandez and Jose (Jackie) Contreras, Jr.; siblings, Josefina Contreras, Delfina (Jose) Anzaldua, Elvia (Isaac ") Hernandez, Luis Contreras ", Jimmy (Janie) Contreras, Estela (Joel) Ynosensio, Ester Gonzalez, Jesusita (Gaspar) Envangelista, Vascilla (Rafael) Escobedo, and John (Yvonne) Contreras; grandchildren, Dina Marie, Everado, Kayla and Michael Garca, Magaly (Fernando) Contreras, Adrian, Isidro, Dinorah, and Bianca Hernandez, Kathy, Andrew, Victoria and Carolina Garca and Devin and Jose M. Contreras, III; and great-grandson Isaac J. Cortes.-
