JOE MANUEL REED, SR.

January 11, 1944 - August 17, 2019

Mr. Joe Manuel Reed, Sr., 75, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Saturday, August 17, 2019.

Joe was one of the most gentle and kind hearted individuals you could ever know.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl A. and Juanita Z. Reed; his brothers, William Reed and Michael Reed.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 52 years of marriage, Dora G. Reed; sons and daughters, Joe M. (Claudia) Reed, Jr., Clara (Albert) Reed Torres, William Reed.  He is also survived by his beautiful grandchildren who were his world, Sabrina A. Reed, Andrea A. Reed, Vanessa N. Reed, Jakoby I. Torres, Brianna D. Torres, Dominik Torres, Mikayla Marie Torres, Damian Reed and Abigail Reed; along with other loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, August 20, 2019 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning, August 21, 2019 departing at 9:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery-Veteran’s Section.
