JOAQUIN RAMIREZ, JR. SEPTEMBER 13, 1935 - NOVEMBER 08, 2014 Mr. Joaquin Ramirez, Jr., 79, entered into his eternal rest on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at a local hospital while being surrounded by those whom he loved. Mr. Joaquin Ramirez, Jr. is preceded in death by his parents: Joaquin Ramirez, Sr. and Maria del Pilar Dominguez Lara Ramirez; brothers: Reynaldo Ramirez, Antonio Ramirez; in-laws: Olivia Bernal, and Rene Arzola. He is survived by his loving wife: Yolanda Ramirez; daughters: Sylvia (Martin) Montes, Sandra Ramirez; granddaughters: Alyssandra Nevaeh Montes, Amanda Jude Montes; sisters and brothers: Angela Trevio, Marciana (Martin) Benavides, Blanca Ramirez, Francisco Ramirez, Benito Ramirez, Delfina (Jim) Taylor, Juan Ramirez, Rodolfo Ramirez; in-laws: Teresa Ramirez, Gloria Arzola, Delia Ramos, Antonio (Margie) Arzola, Jr, and Anastacio Bernal. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other loving relatives and friends. Thank you to all the doctors in Laredo, San Antonio, and Houston, especially Dr. Ralph Nimchan, Dr. Efrain Moreno and their staff for caring for his medical necessities, as well as giving him an extended stay to be with us. We would also like to thank Torres Home Health and Global Home Health for their constant visits and care for his health. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2014 departing the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
