JESUS EDELMIRO PEÑA JR.

November 20, 1957 – January 16, 2018

Jesus Edelmiro Peña Jr., 60, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, January 16, 2018. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Jesus made many friends during his career with the U.S. Postal Service, for over 31 years of faithful SVC. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially joking around and having quality golf time with his son and brother. He leaves behind a great legacy and will be greatly missed.

Jesus was preceded in death by his father in law, Hector Fuentes Sr.; paternal grandparents, Everardo and Eulogia Peña; maternal grandparents, Ambrosio and Clara Ambrose; uncle, Enrique Ambrose; and aunt, Estela (Humberto) Martinez.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nora Imelda Peña; children, Jesus Edelmiro Peña III, Jessica Elizabeth (Andy) Servantes; grandchildren, Ayden Christopher, Elijah Joel, Avery Jax; parents, Jesus Edelmiro Sr. and Raquel A. Peña; siblings, Ricardo (Delia) Peña, Rebecca Peña, Rosalva Peña; mother in law, Maria Fuentes; sisters in law, Norma Ybarra, Diana Fuentes; brothers in law, Alberto (Veronica) Fuentes, Hector Fuentes Jr., Martin Fuentes; uncle, Gaspar (Gloria) Ambrose; aunts, Clara (Joe) De Leon and Rosa Ambrose. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 19, 2018 at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be held at 6:30 in the evening.

Funeral procession will depart at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from the funeral home to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.

Interment will then follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.
