JESUS C. MARTINEZ May 10, 1936 - March 26, 2015 Jesus C. Martinez, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great great grandfather, and brother, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the age of 78. Heaven has gained a wonderful angel. He was one of the sweetest, most gentle souls that ever lived. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his family. Both his smile and laughter were contagious. You could not help but feel happiness in his presence. Wherever he is, we are certain that he is singing and spreading joy all around him. He will be deeply missed. Jesus is preceded in death by his parents, Ysidoro and Anita Coronado Martinez; wife Esperanza Martinez; children, Juan Jesus Martinez, Maria Guadalupe Salazar, Grace Serna; siblings, Narciso Vasquez, Benito Martinez and Guadalupe Arellano. He is survived by his daughter Melissa Martinez; daughter-in-law Claudia Martinez; granddaughter Erica Salinas; grandson-in-law Edgar Hernandez; siblings, Isabel Martinez, Primitivo Martinez, Vicente Martinez, Celestina Martinez; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be recited at 7 in the evening. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015 departing the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
