September 7, 1955 – April 16, 2019

Jesus Hernandez, Jr., loving son, husband, father, uncle, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the age of 63.

Mr. Hernandez worked for Doctor’s Hospital of Laredo as a phlebotomist for over 30 years. During his free time he enjoyed to barbeque, especially “sus tripitas” with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Justo and Genoveva Hernandez and Jesus and Teresa Hernandez; nephew Joel Hernandez.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Maria S. Hernandez; daughters, Sara Lopez, LuRinda (Michael) Pearce; step-sons, Mario Orduña, Adan Orduña, Gustavo Orduña; sisters and brothers, Carmen (Feliciano +) Hernandez, Elva (Juan) Treviño, Jose A. Hernandez, Justo (Juanita) Hernandez, Jr., Roberto (Sylvia) Hernandez, David (Maria) Hernandez, Dora Sanchez, Clarissa Ramirez, San Juanita (Fernando) Montemayor, Ruben Hernandez, Josefina Sanchez, and Lucy (Ray) Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, April 19, 2019 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 8 p.m.

A chapel service will be held on Saturday morning, April 20, 2019 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels at 11:00 a.m.

A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
