Lamentations 3:22-26; 31-32 For the Lord does not abandon anyone forever. Though he brings grief, he also shows compassion according to the greatness of his unfailing love." (NLT) My beautiful, loving husband, Javier Sanchez, has gone on to be with the Lord. He was a tremendous father to our 3 children and loved and adored them as they loved and adored him as well. He loved his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other members of his large and loving extended family. We will all miss him so much and will forever remember all the exceptionally fun times we shared with him. Javier was born on November 12, 1959 to Romulo and Prudencia Sanchez in Laredo, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Laredo, Texas. Javier was and will continue to be a diehard Aggie. He received his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University in College Station and began his teaching career at Cigarroa Middle School in 1989. During his education career he also taught at United South High School, Lincoln-Juarez Elementary, and more recently until his passing, Dr. Leo G. Cigarroa High School, his second home. His passion for teaching only got heightened and strengthened by his love of coaching. During his tenure he was able to shape and form young minds not only in the classroom setting but on the field. He had a passion for sports, having coached many gifted and talented players throughout the years. Many of his previous students have shown their support by recalling how much of a beloved teacher, mentor and coach he was having shaped their own lives. Javier admired his peers at Cigarroa High School as they have shown admiration to him with their show of concern. On behalf of myself and my family, we wish to express our deepest gratitude for the countless prayers, calls, visits, and showing of support and condolences during this difficult time. Preceding him in death are his parents: Romulo and Prudencia Sanchez; sister and brothers: Irma Yolanda Garza, Gerardo Snchez, and infant twin.
