Israel Peña Sr.

Mr. Israel Pea, Sr., 83, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend entered into God's heavenly kingdom on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at a local hospital. He was a person full of faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and in his family. He taught each and every one of his children and extended family many life lessons throughout his long life. At this time of sorrow and pain we humbly commend his soul to God the most high. May he grant him a place in the company of the angels and saints. We will miss you. He is preceded in death by: his wife: Diamantina Flores Pea; son: David Pea; grandson: Juan Israel Arredondo; parents: Canuto and Celia Pea, brother: Fernando (Sandra) Pea and sister: Irma P. (Enrique) Arechiga. Mr. Pea is survived by his children: Diamantina Pea, Belinda Pea, Israel Pea Jr. (Delfina Gonzalez) and (Maribel Garza), Ismael Pea Sr. (Brenda Wilson); grandchildren, Delfina Pea, Melissa (Juan Carlos) Gonzalez-Andaverde, Ismael Pea Jr., Israel David Pea, Israel Pea III; great-grandchildren, Carlos Andaverde, Evelyn Andaverde as well as by his brothers: Humberto (Fernandina) Pea and Roberto (Bertha) Pea He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends. The family received condolences on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening with a recitation of the holy rosary at 7 that same evening. Funeral procession will depart on Monday, November 4, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Isreal Pea Jr., Ismael Pea Sr., Ismael Pea Jr., Israel David Pea, Humberto Pea Jr., Fernando Pea Jr., Victor Pea Jr., and Alfredo Pea Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Delphina Pea, Israel Pea III, Carlos Andaverde, and Evelyn Andaverde.
