Irma A. Cortez, 88, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 16, 2014. Irma is preceded in death by her parents: Higinio (Dolores) Alvarez; husband: Ruben G. Cortez; sister: Maria Aurora Alvarez; brothers: Higinio (Lourdes) Alvarez, Jose Oscar Alvarez, Sr., and Amando A. Alvarez, Sr. She is survived by her daughter: Maria Aurora (Juan Eduardo) Mounetou; grandchildren: Juan Eduardo (Alexa) Mounetou, Adriana Mounetou, and Diego Mounetou, and other loving relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10am on Friday, October 17, 2014 at San Agustin Cathedral. Interment followed immediately at the Laredo City Cemetery.
