IMELDA ELENA SOLANO

December 19, 1929 – December 23, 2024

Imelda Elena Solano, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and Tia passed away December 23, 2024 at the age of 95. She was at home with family as she peacefully joined our Heavenly Father for eternal life. Elena lived a beautiful life and brightened the lives of all who knew her.

Elena was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico in 1929 to Melchor & Soledad Sanchez, before moving with her family to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas. She graduated from San Agustin in Laredo, Tx, where she met the love of her life, Guillermo Solano Jr.†. Together they shared a long, full, and joyful life surrounded by family and lifelong friends who became family. She cherished her family above all; she was a loving and supportive mother, loved to host holiday events for extended family, and often was the life of a party with her witty sense of humor.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Guillermo, son Javier, and grand-daughter Alisha.

Although she is gone and will be missed, she will live in our hearts and memories forever.

She is survived by her sons, Guillermo (Rosemary), Ricardo (Monica), daughter-in-law Karen, grandchildren, Kayla (Kyle), Alexandra, Javier Jr., Ricardo Jr., Gabriel, Janessa, Isaac, Jacob, and great-grandson Kyle Jr., and her numerous nieces, nephews, and their children.

The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday evening, December 29, 2024 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday morning, December 30, 2024 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
