Our beloved Humberto Martinez has passed early Saturday morning, September 24, 2016, to be with the Lord at the age of 83.

Humberto Martinez was born November 02, 1932 in Laredo, TX. A devoted family man who always put other people first. From a very early age, he took it upon himself to join the workforce in order to provide for his mom, brothers, and sisters. The second oldest of 15 children, he took it upon himself to be the father figure and bread winner of the family. His determination and work ethic allowed him to establish a paving company which he co-founded with his best friend of over 50 years named Martinez and Rubio Paving. He was known for his tireless energy investing time with his beloved wife (Estela), family, work, and exercising. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Tejano music, walking around the mall every Sunday followed by Church, and barbecues.

Humberto is survived by his four loving sons, Humberto (Margarita), Roberto (Claudia), Jorge (Minerva), and Cezar (Lupita) Martinez; 15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; extended family and friends. We will miss you deeply and carry on the valuable life lessons you instilled in us (sons' lives) forward.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 26, 2016 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Mass times remain pending.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
