Humberto will always be remembered as a best friend, the greatest father who ever existed, a storyteller like no other, and the funniest man you could ever meet. He was an active man, always working hard for his family, starting at the young age of his early 20's when he enlisted in the National Guard and worked on tanks for the United States of America. When he and Hilda met, he began his career with the Border Patrol. He served for 30-plus years until retirement and then spent the rest of his years devoted to the care of his wife. He was a man who died with integrity and the respect from all the people around him.

Though the passing of Humberto seemed rather abrupt, the family, who he taught to push through hard times together, is remembering the good. They thank their friends for years of friendships and laughs. His memory will continue to live on in the lives of his children and his grandchildren.

Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff in the Intensive Care Unit and Laredo Medical Center.
