Hortencia Olivares March 15, 1925 - March 12, 2015 Hortencia Olivares, 89, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 12, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel and Concepcion Olivares; brothers, Raul Iruegas, and Gilberto (Esperanza) Iruegas. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Zulema (Gerardo) Rodriguez, Gilberto Antonio (Nena) Iruegas, Jesus (Nena) Iruegas, Jose Iruegas, Eliza (Fernando) Mercado, Jorge (Mary) Iruegas, and Juan Iruegas. She is also survived by Raul "Chito" Rodriguez, and Arabela (Thomas) Allred, of whom she considered family; along with other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Monday, March 16, 2015 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. A Rosary will be recited at 8 in the morning. Procession will depart the same day at 9:30 a.m. to San Agustin Cathedral for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
