ARACELI HORTENCIA R. MARIN
MARCH 7, 1929 – MAY 13, 2020
“When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”
Mrs. Araceli Hortencia R. Marin, 91, was called to her heavenly home and now joins our Lord in His kingdom on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. During her last few months, “Tencha”, as she was more commonly known as, she demonstrated an immense fortitude as she faced declining health, and with the graciousness and humbleness that befell her, she has finished her race and won the battle, for she now rests in the loving hands of our Lord. We thank God for giving us the opportunity and the blessing of extra time spent with her.
Tencha was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.
The inseparable bond of sisterhood kept Tencha and her sister Tina together, both living a stone's throw away for their entire life. As she goes home now, a void is left that only the love of God can fill.
Tencha was dealt with three major deaths, her husband, son and mother, whose death's she would always carry until that blessed Wednesday morning when at the close of her eyes here on earth, she awoke in peace surrounded by her “tres amores”, together forever in peace.
We extend our deepest appreciation to her angels on earth that watched and cared for her: Chayo and Danielito.
We would also like to thank her caregivers: Rosario M. Martinez, Lety Mancilla, Gaby Mancilla and St. Jude’s Hospice Specialty, Inc. Nurse, David Olvera Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Martin and Herminia Rogerio, husband; Jesus E. Marin; son Jesus Eloy Marin Jr.; sister and brother in law; Herminia and Wenceslao Rodriguez; brother in law Dolores Chazarreta, niece; Margie Hale and nephew in law; James M. Kelbell.
