It is with deep sadness that Hortencia G. Castro, lovingly known as “Momo” has received her wings and entered the gates of Heaven on September 26th 2018, at the age of 86.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo J Castro; and parents, Felix and Maria Gaitan.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Antonia Zeidan, Guillermo “Memo” (Petra M.) Castro, Leopoldo (Gloria) Castro, Eduardo (Victoria) Castro, Gloria (Patricio) Mendoza, Norma (Alfonso) Fernandez, and Diana (Thomas) Kazmierski. She will forever be loved and deeply missed by her 15 Grandchildren and 16 Great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday evening, September 30, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel, Monday, October 1, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Christopher Mendoza, Anthony Mendoza, Stephen Mendoza, Guillermo “Memito” Castro, John Kazmierski, Thomas Kazmierski, GJ Castro, Leopoldo Castro, Charlie Castro, Aaron Castro, and Danny Castro.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Patricio Mendoza, Thomas Kazmierski, Alfonso Fernandez, Leo Garcia, Edward Gaitan, and Ivan Rodriguez.
