HORACIO ADAME DECEMBER 11, 1944 - JUNE 12, 2015 Horacio Adame was called by our Lord on Friday, June 12, 2015. Horacio, "Lacho" as he was known by, was born on December 11, 1944 to Jose and Juanita Adame. Growing up as a boy and young man in his father's family grocery store he learned early on the importance of a strong work ethic. This was a character trait imprinted by his mother and father to him and his brother and sisters. Lacho was a humble, warm hearted man with an innate nobility. Everyone he met, whether working in the family business or at HEB, became a friend. This capacity to welcome was not limited to people, but also animals over his 70 years of life. This along with his love of dancing, laughter and life will make him deeply missed by all who loved him. Lacho is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Juanita Adame. He is survived by his life-long companion, Maria de los Angeles "Gela" Negrete; siblings, Humberto (Dora), Homero (Marina), Sylvia (Conrado Alvarado II), Hector, Heriberto (Arabella), Emma (Armando Molina), Beatriz (Jose Soto), Jose Jr., and Rene. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 14, 2015 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary and Vigil will be held at 7 in the evening. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, 2015 departing the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Rene Adame, Richard Adame, Hector Adame Jr., Conrado "Ito" Alvarado III, Armando Molina Jr., and Jose A. Soto. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Humberto Adame, Homero Adame, Hector Adame, Heriberto Adame, Jose Adame Jr., Conrado Alvarado II, Armando Molina, and Jose M. Soto.
