Homero Martinez

Mr. Homero G. Martinez joined our Lord in heaven on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the age of 41. Homero Guadalupe Martinez was a prominent attorney who practiced the law for 15 prodigious years. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin on August 21, 1989 and from Thurgood Marshall School of Law on May 15, 1993. Homero was a member of the Youth Curcillo Movement, ACTS Retreat, Texas Criminal Defense Attorneys, and Trial Lawyers College. Homero was an excellent husband, son, brother, and friend, but above all was a loving and dedicated father. He touched many people's lives throughout his time on Earth and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his siblings Nora Guadalupe Martinez, Eusebio Martinez, and Alejandra Judith Martinez; paternal grandparents Jose Martinez Maruquin and Teofila Canales; and maternal grandparents Alejandro and Margarita Pereida Zamora.

He is survived by his beloved wife Tanya Martinez; sons Juan Homero Martinez, Jacob Emmanuel Martinez, and Mathew Christopher Martinez; parents Homero C. and Maria del Pilar Martinez; brother Humberto Martinez; and sister-in-law Ruby M. Innocencio.

Pallbearers will be: Homero C. Martinez, Humberto Martinez, Kevin Mackie, Judge Ben Morales, Rey Rodriguez, Isidro Alaniz, Guillermo Pro, Ralph de la Garza, David Cruz, Joseph Burt, Hector Boubel, Antonio Figueroa, Tony Martinez, Jaime Pizana, Ernie Garza and George Montemayor.
