HOMERO JIMENEZ
FEBRUARY 6, 1938 – OCTOBER 29, 2017

On October 29, 2017, God called out to receive another angel. Homero Jimenez passed away to an eternal rest at his residence surrounded by loved ones at approximately 1 in the morning.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years and high school sweetheart, Elodia Jimenez, along with their two children, Sandra M Jimenez and Homero (Elma) Jimenez Jr., and three grandchildren, Jacqueline M, Antonio R, and Victor R Jimenez. He will continue to be remembered by his siblings, Humberto “Toto” Jimenez, Hector “Hecky” (Jan) Jimenez, Hermelinda “Meli” Jimenez, and Herminia (Rene) Alvarez along with his extended family of in-laws including Maria Teresa Rodriguez, Grace (Roger) Truitt, Rosalinda Villarreal, Zulema (Ernesto) Longoria, Joe (Margarita) Villarreal, Ruben Villarreal, and Alberto (Toni) Villarreal.

In the kingdom of heaven, he will be reunited with his parents, Lydia Ortiz Jimenez and Antonio H Jimenez, his son, Antonio Raul Jimenez; his sister and her husband Hilda and Humberto Negrete and his in-laws: Margarito and Zulema M. Villarreal.

Homero has always been a selfless, caring, and hardworking man. Those who knew him would know he enjoyed staying active by taking cross-country trips with his family, going hunting and fishing with his friends, and watching sports games like Cowboys football, Astros baseball, and Spurs basketball. Homero’s charismatic and easy-going persona made him loved by all. He will continue to remain a role model to those whose path he crossed. As a father, husband, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, friend, coworker, or stranger sitting across from you drinking a morning coffee, Homero always lightened up the room with his genuine happiness. We hope to one day be reunited with him once again to create many more memories filled with joy, hope, and love.
