HERMELINDA V. SALINAS

Mrs. Hermelinda V. Salinas, 67, entered into the presence of God surrounded by her loving family in Harlingen, Texas. Ever the woman of fervent faith, she remained strong throughout the past few years. She was a faithful parishioner of San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church in south Laredo. Together, she and her husband raised three sons and two daughters. Left behind is a legacy of love, strong faith and compassion that will continue throughout her extended family and many generations.
She is predeceased by her parents Paulino and Antonia Villarreal; brother: Manuel Sanchez.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 43 years of marriage: Reyes Salinas; children: Noel (Angelica) Salinas of Mission, Texas; Jose (Elvira) Salinas, Sandy (Eusebio) Gonzalez, Xavier (Paige Hale) Salinas and Griselda Salinas, all of Laredo, Texas. Further surviving her are her adored grandchildren: Jose Rodolfo Salinas, Jacob Salinas, Noel Alexander Salinas, Sophia Paloma Salinas, Andrew Gonzalez, Chloe Gonzalez, Avan Johnny Salinas-Hale and Autumn Paige Salinas-Hale; a great-grandson: Jaiden Salinas; sister Susana (Jose) Aguilera as well as by an extended number of friends and relatives.
The Salinas family would like to thank all who prayed for her during her illness, especially her faith community at San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church, for their unending support through prayer. Now, we ask that you lift up your prayers for the repose of her soul and for our strength to get through this time of grief.
Friends and relatives are invited to join the family the evening of Wednesday the 8th of February 2017 beginning at 4 in the afternoon and ending promptly at 9. A Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening.
Funeral procession will form the morning of Thursday the 9th of February 2017 departing the funeral chapel at 9:20 in the morning to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in the morning.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Noel Salinas, Jose Salinas, Xavier Salinas, Eusebio Gonzalez, Jose Rodolfo Salinas, Jose Aguilera Jr., David Aguilera and Victor Rene Salinas Jr.
