August 12, 1932- January 29, 2021

Heriberto M. Martinez, 88, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom, Friday, January 29, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his parents Filiberto and Guadalupe Martinez; stepmom Genoveva Vallejo Martinez; daughter Dora Alicia (Jacinto) Alanis; grandson Eric Ponce; siblings: Ramona Amparo Martinez, Belia (Humberto) Gonzalez, Evangelina Trejo, Hector (Hilda) Martinez, and Arturo (Josefa) Martinez.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Norberta J. Martinez; former wife Consuelo A. Martinez and their children: Yolanda (Sergio) Ponce, Bertha (Armando) Casillas, Heriberto (Adriana) Martinez Jr.; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; brother Jose Luis (Pepe) Martinez and family; sisters: Blanca (Humberto+) Padilla, Bertha (Mario) Guerra, Zulema (Adolfo) Campero, Rosalinda (Celestino) Garza; beloved nephews: Jesus (Coleen) Martinez and Fernando Gonzalez as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mass will be held on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church, 3502 Sanders Ave. Mr. Martinez’s ashes will be blessed at the time of his mass.

The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: Dr. Ricardo Cigarroa and members of the wonderful staff from LMC ER, ICU, 3rd floor nurses.  Superior Nursing Care, Nurse Adriana Lopez, Our Guardian Angels Home Health with special thanks to Ms. Jackie Caretta (granddaughter).
