ENRIQUE FRANCISCO “HENRY” GARCIA
November 23, 1933 – December 06, 2017
Enrique Francisco “Henry” Garcia, 84, has joined our Heavenly Father in his Kingdom on Wednesday, December 06, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Henry graduated from Martin High School in 1951 where he met his beloved wife of 62 years, Ana Maria de Luna. Henry served a term of two years in the U.S. Navy. Henry attended Texas A&M University where he studied Aeronautical Engineering. He returned from college to work at Miracle Candle, the family business. Later, Henry would go on to work in the advertising industry as a graphic artist for locally owned companies such as Richter’s Department store. In the late seventies, Henry ventured into his own advertising company. His love of art was expressed through sketching, calligraphy, painting, and jewelry making. Another great passion of Henry’s was flying. He would fulfill this passion by simulation flying at home and weekend ventures of flying co-pilot throughout south Texas.
Henry expressed his love for our Heavenly Father every day of his life and was evident in the lessons he left with his children throughout their lives and through his final hours. Henry continued to teach his children how live with God in their heart, to love one another, and most important, how to prepare oneself before reading the word of our Heavenly Father. Henry had the gift of knowledge of the Holy Bible. He shared his knowledge with his children, grandchildren, and many in the church community have been blessed with the understanding of the Word of our Lord. Henry attended Deacon School in Corpus Christi, Texas where he received the blessing of teaching the Word of God. Henry was involved with Cursillos, Search, Pre Cana, and A.C.T.S. He provided seminars on Life in the Spirit and classes on scripture reading at his fellow parish, San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Henry’s wish was for all to know and love the Lord.

Also, to Dr. Alejandro Pruitt from San Antonio and the nursing staff from Methodist Hospital for their service. To the physicians and staff at Vitas Hospice for making our father’s final days so comforting.
