Our Beloved Gustavo Alberto Elizondo, 64, peacefully entered into eternal rest Friday, February 28, 2020.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ruben and Maria Guadalupe Ramirez Elizondo; father and mother-in-law: Juan P. and Rita Guerrero Vallejo; brother’s-in-law: Victor Vallejo and Juan F. Vallejo.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Norma Elizondo of 41 years of marriage; his children: Gustavo (Cynthia) Elizondo, Patricia (Gerardo) Cardenas, Claudia (Eric) Rodriguez; grandchildren: Derek, Deandra, Eva Victoria, Gustavo III, Sebastian, Desirae, Gael, and his faithful friend, his family dog: DeeDee; siblings: Ruben (Belen) Elizondo Jr., Eduardo (Esther) Elizondo, Elsa P. Elizondo, Nora (Ricardo) Lozano; in-law’s: Ruben (San Juana) Vallejo, Maria de Jesus (Mario) Silva, Irma (Jose Luis) Cortez, Norma Vallejo, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Gustavo was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend to everyone. He loved spending time with his wife and enjoyed being the best grandfather to his grandchildren. During his life here on earth, he touched many lives with his charisma, kind and compassionate spirit.
We extend our greatest appreciation and thanks to the physicians and nursing staff of University Hospital for their loving care and support during his final days. We would also like to give thanks to Fr. Saturnino Lajo and Fr. Emmet Carolan for their constant source of support, encouragement and spiritual strength.
The family will be receiving condolences on Monday evening, March 02, 2020 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday morning, March 03, 2020 departing at 9:40 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to St. Patrick Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
A cremation will follow at a later date.
Pallbearers will be: Gustavo Elizondo Jr., Derek Rodríguez, Gerardo Cárdenas, Eric Rodríguez, Eduardo Elizondo, Ruben Elizondo Jr., Sergio Ruiz and Ruben Vallejo.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that you consider making a donation in his memory to: St. Jude Children’s, Oblate Missions or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
