Graciela T. Noyola, 70, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2011, surrounded by her loving family. Grace grew up in Laredo, graduated from Martin High School, received her bachelor's degree from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, and her master's degree from Laredo State University. A longtime educator with Laredo Independent School District, she worked at Leyendecker Elementary, Buenos Aires Elementary, and L.J. Christen Middle School. After 41 years of service with the district, she took the position as librarian at St. Augustine High School where she inspired students with her tireless devotion and unending support. She also belonged to several professional and social organizations.-Grace loved gardening, reading, shopping for antiques, spending time with her family, and it will be hard to imagine a world without her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Abraham and Consuelo Acevedo Trevino.
Graciela is survived by her two sisters: Berta T. (Clifford) Mitchell and Consuelo (Javier) Pedraza; brother, Abraham C. Trevino, Jr.; niece, Adriana (Federico) Resendez-Casso; nephews, Guillermo H. Resendez, Jr. and Carlos F. Camacho; great-nieces, Viviana Resendez and Mia Alvarez.
