GLORIA G. VALENCIA APRIL 4, 1931 - DECEMBER 9, 2014 Gloria G. Valencia, 83, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. As a faithful and devout Catholic, Gloria served arduously at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church as a Lector Minister, Eucharistic Minister; among being a member of the ministry Cursillo de Colores, and Adoracion Nocturna. She was also a devoted member of the Shoenstatt Movement. She is preceded in death by her husband of over 45 years, of whom was the love of her life: Juan O. Valencia; parents: Cosme Guerrero and Victoria Cruz; brothers and sister: Martin Guerrero, Daniel Guerrero, Francisca Guerrero, and spiritual son: Fidencio Gloria. She is survived by whom she considered her spiritual kindred children: Emanuel Gloria, Terry (Arturo) Guerrero, Francisco (Elma) Gloria, Joseph Gloria, Sixto (Valerie) Gloria, Joaquin Gloria, Mary Helen Gloria; sisters and brother: Olivia Guerrero, Cosme Guerrero, Gregoria Guerrero, and Maria Ofelia Guerrero. She is also survived by her closest friends: Juanita Valencia, Juanita Sanchez, Christina Sanchez, Teresa Gloria; numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, December 12, 2014 at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 to 9 in the evening. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 departing the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be: Emanuel Gloria, Arturo Guerrero, Francisco Gloria, Joseph Gloria, Sixto Gloria, Joaquin Gloria, Martiniano D. Guerrero, and Juan Gerardo Vargas. Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
