GLORIA CALDERON GARCIA SEPTEMBER 03, 1935 - FEBRUARY 10, 2015 In the memory of our loved ones nothing can take them away. Days will pass and turn into years, but you will be remembered as the loving, smiling, and shinning soul you were born to be. Gloria Calderon Garcia, 79, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Gloria was born on September 03, 1935 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamps., Mexico, but was a lifelong resident of Laredo, Texas. She attended and graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1954. She was a loving mother, a great writer, and a tremendous decorator. She will be greatly missed as the days go by, leaving fond memories in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Salvadro and Lita G. Calderon; sister, Thelma Calderon; and son, Edgar Jorge Villagran. Gloria is survived by her children, Gil Mario (Imelda Martinez) Villagran Jr., Melissa (Mark Pinckard) Villagran; granddaughters, Gloria Vanessa Villagran, Alyssa Villagran, Ainsley Pinckard, Sienna Pinckard; brother, Salvador (Elia Hilda Garcia) Calderon; as well as by her three nephews and their families, Luis Alberto (Gabriela Garza) Calderon, Hector Eduardo (Cristina Gomez) Calderon, and Salvador (Blanca Ramos) Calderon. Memorial Mass officiated by Father Anthony Mendoza will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the St. Augustine Catholic School Chapel; 1300 Galveston Street, Laredo, TX 78040.
