GLORIA LINARES FARIAS

Gloria Linares Farias, age 92, passed away peacefully in San Antonio, Texas, on August 30, 2016.

Gloria was married and devoted her life to her husband, Daniel O. Farias, the youngest son of the prominent Gonzalo P. Farias family.

Gloria enjoyed life, her family and her friends. She is remembered fondly as loving, caring "Tia Gloria" by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel O. Farias; her siblings, Minnie (Raul) Barrera, Lily (Roberto) de la Garza, Hilda (Flavio) Guerra, Sylvia Perez, and Olivia (Steve) Torhan; nephew, Raul (Cindy) Barrera; niece, Sandra Barrera de los Santos; and her in-laws, Angelina (Manuel) Gonzalez, Gonzalo (Leonor) Farias, Graciela (Jesus) Vela- Cuellar, Hector (Concha) Farias, Cesar (Berta) Farias, Olga (Johnny) Guerrero, and Griselda (Alfonso) Casso.

She is survived by nieces and nephews, Cindy (Raul) Barrera, Gloria B. Munoz, Elsa Guerra, Diana Gonzalez, Ana (Robert) Muller, Hector (Diana) Farias, Arturo (Maria Eugenia) Farias, Olga (Felipe) Perez-Garcia, Alfonso (Elizabeth) Casso, Luis (Thelma) Casso, Griselda (Efrain) Barbosa, Laura Casso, Esther (Abelardo) Salinas, Alberto (Amparo) Farias, Leonor (Adolfo) Limarzi, and Graciela Vela-Cuellar. She is also survived by numerous grand nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to Gloria's caretakers, Sofia Gonzalez and Hilda Castro, as well as Samantha Blakely, owner of Nancy's Carnation Personal Care. Most heartfelt gratitude especially to her niece Ana F. Muller who lovingly dedicated endless hours to all of her needs.

Funeral services will take place on Friday morning, September 2, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church, with a rosary at 9:15 a.m. followed by a mass at 10:00 a.m. to be celebrated by Father Noel Davis.

Pallbearers will be: Roberto Von Muller, Gonzalo P. Farias, Arturo R. Farias, Alfonso Casso, Jr., Alfonso Casso III, and Abelardo Salinas.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
