GLORIA ARZOLA

MARCH 23, 1940 – DECEMBER 16, 2019

Miss Gloria Arzola, 79, entered into the arms of the heavenly father on Monday, December 16, 2019 surrounded by her family by her side.  She was born to Antonio and Guadalupe Arzola in Laredo, Texas and lived here for the length of her life.  Gloria worked at Woolworth’s for over 35 years, where she ultimately retired from.

She was preceded in death by her parents:  Antonio and Guadalupe Arzola; siblings:  Delia (Andres Manuel) Ramos, Olivia A. Bernal, and Rene Arzola.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her brother: Antonio (Margie) Arzola Jr.; sister: Yolanda (Joaquin †) Ramirez; brother-in-law: Rev. Deacon Anastacio Bernal; nieces: Melinda R. Vasquez, Arazely Broussard, Patricia Johnston, Sandra Ramirez, Sylvia Montes, and Adriana Segura; nephew: Daniel Bernal; 14 grandnieces and nephews, two of whom she took care of: Aliza Bernal and Christine Maree Vasquez, as well as her caretakers: Patricia de Regil and Karina de Regil.

The family will receive condolences on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel, 719 Loring at Cortez.

Funeral procession will depart at 10 a.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
