Gilbert is survived by his parents Gilberto Lopez and Angelica Perez, sisters Jessica (Carlos) Zaldivar, Tanya Sanchez, his girlfriend Maria H. Gonzalez, nieces and nephew Lilia, Natalia, and Carlos Zaldivar, Jr., his maternal grandmother Hortencia Perez, and numerous uncles, aunts, and other relatives.
