German Tays

Mr. German Federico Tays, 83, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Pilar Tays; his sisters and brothers, Guillermina Tays, Evangelina Tays, Eduardo, Juan, Josefa, and Fernando.

He is survived by his loving wife, Soledad H. Tays; his children, Linda Evelyn Tays, Juan Miguel (Susan +) Lumbreras, Mary F. (Edwin) Stendebach; grandchildren, Jorge Alberto Contreras, Jr., Elizabeth Marie (Agustin) Olmedo, Rafael David Hinojosa II, Victoria Lumbreras, Warren Lumbreras, Juan M. Lumbreras, Jr.; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Graciela (Cayetano) Argaiz, Maria (Oscar +) Segovia; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday, August 6, 2017, from 5 to 9 in the evening at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez. A Rosary will be held at 7 in the evening.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 7, 2017, departing the funeral home at 9:40 a.m. to Christ the King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery; where Military Honors will be rendered by American Legion Post 59 and Fort Sam Houston Honor Guard.
