Gerardo Gonzalez, Sr.

Mr. Gerardo "Gera" Gonzalez, Sr., 64, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Friday, January 09, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Concepcion M. Gonzalez; parents-in-law, Alberto and Cecilia Lopez; and sister, Ana Maria G. Sanchez. Gerardo is survived by his beloved wife, Martha Gonzalez; children, Cynthia (Ricardo) Ramirez, Gerardo (Maria Guadalupe) Gonzalez, Jr., and Eduardo (Maria Alejandra) Gonzalez; grandchildren, Cynthia J. (Mark) Arredondo, Karena D. Ramirez, Bianca L. Ramirez, Ricardo Ramirez, Jr., Bridget L. Gonzalez, Gerardo Gonzalez, III, Britney L. Gonzalez, Edgardo Gonzalez, and Eduardo Gonzalez, Jr.; and great-grandson, Mark Edward Arredondo, Jr. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Dora Gonzalez, Juan (Edna) Gonzalez, Jr., Humberto (Sylvia) Gonzalez, and Alma G. (Raymond Jr.) Gabrillo; he will be greatly missed by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Rosary will commence at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday morning, January 13, 2015 departing at 8:45 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
