FRANK ROMANELLI

JANUARY 18, 1949 – JULY 17, 2017

Frank Romanelli, 68, of Laredo, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017.

Frank was born on January 18, 1949 in Glen Ridge, NJ. He graduated from Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange, NJ and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force shortly after, where he served as a Sergeant. Towards the end of his military service, he was stationed in Laredo, were he served at the Laredo AFB. While serving in Laredo, he met his wife, Irma Hinojosa with whom he shared 46 happy years of marriage and had three daughters. After four years of service in the Air Force, Frank joined the Laredo Police Department and continued his law enforcement career with DEA and Homeland Security. After 30 years of Federal service, Frank retired.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Josephine Romanelli.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 46 years of marriage: Irma Romanelli; his daughters, Christine Romanelli, Joanne Romanelli (Jerry Venegas) and Anna Maria (Noe Misael) Romanelli-Flores; his grandchildren Justin Venegas and Brianna Noelle Flores and his German Shepherd Geno, his beloved companion.

The family will be receiving condolences on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in the main chapel of Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services from 12 noon to 3 p.m. A Vigil and Funeral Service will commence at 2:15 p.m.

Military Honors will be rendered at 3 p.m., provided by the American Legion Post 59 and the US Air Force Honor Guard.

Cremation will be held at a later date.
