FRANCISCO JAVIER RAMIREZ, JR.

May 1, 1968 – February 28, 2023

Francisco Javier Ramirez Jr., 54, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. 

He was born on May 1, 1968, to Francisca & the late, Francisco Javier Ramirez, Sr. He graduated from United High School in May 1986. On May 12, 1990, he graduated from Incarnate Word College with a Bachelor of Business Administration. On December 19, 1998, he obtained his Master of Business Administration from Texas A & M International University. In February 2004, he opened A Plus Tutoring Center and ran a successful business where he met many individuals.  In July 2009, he proceeded to expand his business ventures and opened Superior Academy of Laredo. He was an Active Member of the Laredo Gateway Rotary Club & President from 2012-2013. Frank had received a Paul Harris Fellow plus 1 lapel pin for his contributions to the rotary foundation. He was an Active Board member of the Salvation Army, Chairman from 2014-2016. He was currently working on his American Sign Language Certification at the San Antonio College and would volunteer his time to the Laredo Regional Day School for the Deaf, LISD, UISD, ZISD, and WEBB Consolidated ISD. 

Family and friends knew him as "Frankie", "Javi" and "Frank". His smile would brighten up any room that he entered. He was the life of the party, and everyone enjoyed his presence. He was always very giving and would give you the shirt off his back. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Javier Ramirez, Sr. 

Left to cherish his memory are his loving spouse, Evan Gutierrez; mother, Francisca Ramirez (Luis D.A.); siblings, San Juana (Eduardo) Sanchez, Maria de Lourdes (Benjamin) Blair, Eduardo (Claudia) Ramirez, Lorena (Chase) Tidwell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends. 

The family will be receiving condolences on Monday, March 6, 2023, from 5 pm to 9 pm at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd, where a vigil of the deceased will commence at 7 pm. 

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, departing at 10:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Gerardo Escobedo, Alfredo Escobedo, Jr., Gustavo Martinez, Eduardo Ramirez, Rene Garcia, Ramiro Garcia, Jesús G. Padilla, and Benjamín Blair.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ely Gutierrez and Jose J. Ramirez.
