August 30, 1931-April 15, 2023

Frances Garza, 91, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Saturday, April 15, 2023, surrounded by her daughters.

Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She worked for LISD as a teacher assistant for 25 plus years.

She was preceded in passing by her husband of 49 years of marriage, Luis Garza; parents, Dolores (Jose) Escamilla; father, Valentin Santa Cruz; her granddaughters, Brenda Garza, Kristina Lizcano; siblings, Ramon Santa Cruz, Ramiro Santa Cruz, Maria Nieves Santa Cruz.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Diana (Fernando †) Garza, Rosalinda (James) Rendon, Beatriz (David I.) Martinez, Maria Cira (Antonio) Lopez, Nora Loly Hernandez; 8 grandchildren, Jeannette (Dr. Jose) Vazquez, Erica M. (Zachary) Deleza, James R. (Elizabeth Crystal) Rendon, Jr., Lizette (Daniel) Treviño, Jorge Alberto Muñoz, Jr., Antonio Lopez, Jr., Gerardo Jose (Denise) Hernandez, Annette Dolores (Jesse) Garza; 16 great-grandchildren, Anthony George Martinez, Jacob Andrew Martinez, Ashley N. Macias, Zachary Deleza, Jr., Kyle D. Deleza, Easton Louie Deleza, James R. Rendon III, Nicholas H. Rendon, Camila R. Rendon, Ava Marie Treviño, Krysta A. Bentiez, Kyanna Carrillo, Jayden Lara, Isaac Hernandez, Joseph Hernandez, and Abigail Hernandez.  She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Wednesday morning, April 19, 2023. 

Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday morning, April 19, 2023 departing at 10:00 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Laredo City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Gerardo Jose Hernandez, Jorge Alberto Muñoz, Jr., James R. Rendon, Jr., Jesse Garza, Daniel Treviño, Antonio Lopez, Jr., Zachary Deleza, Sr. and Zachary Deleza, Jr.
