Frances Garcia

August 21, 1938- October 27, 2024

Frances Garcia, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. She was married to her cherished husband, Miguel Garcia Jr., for 50 wonderful years. Frances and Miguel met in Chicago, where they married before relocating to Laredo in 1977. Together, they raised three children: Miguel Garcia III and his wife, Laura Recio Garcia; Susan Garcia and her husband, Ramiro Garcia; and Gilbert Garcia and his wife, Michelle C. Garcia. Frances was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to ten great-grandchildren.

Frances dedicated 20 plus years of her life to the City of Laredo Health Department, where she served her community with passion. A devoted parishioner of San Martin de Porras for 45 years, she was deeply involved in the church and cherished her faith.

Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family; she cared for many nieces and nephews as if they were her own, embodying the role of a loving mother to all. Frances was an active member of her birthday club and had a wide circle of friends who adored her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.
