Florencio Flores, Jr.

On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, God called upon his faithful servant Florencio Flores, Jr., to enter into the dwelling place of heaven, where there is everlasting peace. A void now fills our hearts, but we are comforted with the faith that only God can give and that will carry us through this period.

Mr. Florencio Flores, Jr., a resident of Laredo, Texas for 77 years, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. He was surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his wife Maria de la Luz Flores; son, Ricardo Flores; his father, Florencio Flores Sr; his mother, Concepcion Flores; brother, Jorge Flores; and sister, Diana Flores.

Surviving him are his daughters and son, Valeria (Ron) Jones, Gabriela Flores, Sylvia (Jesus) Flores, Adriana Flores and Florencio (Rebecca) Flores III, and Consuelo Cantu. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Gabriel Flores, Kaly Rochelle Flores, Isidro Garcia, Gilberto Valdez, IV, Jason Flores, Daniel Flores, and Amanda Rose Flores. He is also survived by his siblings: Rosa M. Ramon, Cecilia Flores, Leo M, Rolando, Fabian, Jesus DeHomerise, and Ruben Sandoval.

His family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Idelfonso Flores and his staff and to Healing Hands Home Health Services for their care and attention given.

The family will gather on Friday, May 11th, 2018, at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel at 8:40 a.m. on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Gabriel Flores, Kaly Rochelle Flores, Ron Jones, Isidro Garcia, Gilberto Valdez IV, and Cornelio Flores.
