Felipa R. Benavides, 90, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 03, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicolas Ramirez and Eva Gonzalez; brother, Jesus Ramirez; husband, Fernando Benavides and granddaughter, Teresa Garcia. Felipa is survived by her children, Eva B. Rodriguez, Martha B. Gonzalez, Fernando Benavides, Jr., Orfalinda B. Garcia, Rosalba B. Torrijos, Juanita B. Harris and Hector Benavides; grandchildren, Eva R. Gonzalez, Rosendo Rodriguez, Jr., Eduardo Rodriguez, Ricardo Rodriguez, Martha G. Villarreal, Diana G. Garcia, Leonardo Gonzalez, Jr., Fernando Benavides, III, Gustavo Benavides, Linda E. Benavides, Felipe Garcia, Jr., Juan Carlos Garcia, Francisco Javier Torrijos, Jorge Luis Torrijos, Enrique A. Torrijos and Janie H. Ahumada; and by 27 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 06, 2014 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez. A Rosary and Vigil will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral procession will depart at 9:40 a.m. Monday morning, April 07, 2014 from Joe Jackson Heights to Christ The King Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Pallbearers: Fernando Benavides, III, Gustavo Benavides, Juan Carlos Garcia, Rosendo Rodriguez, Jr., Francisco Javier Torrijos and Leonardo Gonzalez, Jr. Interment will follow at the family plot in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
