Esther Rothrock

Born at the family ranch, La Trinidad, on August 8, 1926, in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, daughter of the late Eudoxio Garcia Tovar and Maria de los Angeles Rodriguez.-She was a proud descendant of the founders of Ciudad Mier and Camargo and of the founders of the land ranch of San Diego de Arriba y San Diego de Abajo.

At a young age, Grandma became an entrepreneur and owned several businesses, including Casa Cecilio.-She was a world traveler and a financial whiz.-Grandma's ways influenced her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren shaped our lives and showed us how to care for each other.-Her sense of humor and personality instantly lit up a room.-Her countless fascinating stories intrigued all who listened wanting to hear more.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters:-Trinidad Garcia, Ventura Garcia, Fernando Garcia, Maria Rodriguez, Hortencia Ybanas; her husbands:-Cecil Burge and Dr. Vance Rothrock and by her dear friends David Bernstein and Tom Bynum.

She is survived by her children:-Bo (Lourdes) and Laura Burge, Juanito and Sandra Ramirez and Rosy Ramos; her grandchildren:-Alejandro E. Villarreal IV, Christopher Beau Burge, Esther Celeste (Jorge) Burge-Salazar, Fernando (Angie) Villarreal, Javier Cecilio Villarreal; great-grandchildren:-Alexis Nichole Salazar, Alejandro Villarreal V, Christian Beau Salazar and Victoria Rose Villarreal.-She is further survived by her brothers and sisters:-Praxedis Arreola, Guadalupe Lopez, Octavio (Ofelia) Garcia, Elizardo (Dora) Garcia, Carlota Leik, Otilia Acevedo and sister in law Laurentina Garcia.
