ESTELA VILLANUEVA
September 28, 1963- May 13, 2022
Estela Villanueva, 58, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Friday, May 13, 2022.
Estela was completely devoted to her family and was the epitome and very definition of the word mother. She loved her children unconditionally and was selfless in nature. She adored looking after her children and those around her, she was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She was hardworking, thoughtful, and the most gracious person a friend could ask for. Her radiant warmth and incredible heart will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in passing by her mother, Guadalupe Medellin and her son, Jose Enrique Villanueva.
Left to cherish her memory are: her beloved husband, Ismael Garza; children, Thomas Garza, Guadalupe Garza, and Veronica (Alex Leal) Garza; and grandchildren, Joseph Villanueva, David Villanueva, Arabella Villanueva, Kaitlyn Ferrer, Alex Jay Leal, Jr., and Adalynn Leal. She is further survived by her parents, Baldomero and Ofelia Valadez; siblings, Alicia Medellin, Luis Medellin (Veronica), and Raquel Villanueva; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other loved relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday evening, May 17, 2022 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Rd.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday morning, May 18, 2022 departing at 10 a.m. from Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Laredo City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Thomas Garza, Alex A. Piña, Luis Medellin, Alex J. Leal, Baldomero Valadez Jr., and Pablo Ledezma.
Honorary Pallbearer will be Ismael Garza.
The family would like to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to: all of the staff at Doctors Hospital for the care and attention they provided.
