Esperanza Hernandez, 82, entered into eternal rest Monday, May 2, 2011.

Esperanza was preceded in death by her parents Cecilio Viera and Angela B. Hernandez, step-father Francisco Hernandez, sisters and brothers Lucia Medina, Cristina _______, Daniel Viera, Estela Garza, Adoracion Viera, and Margarita Viera.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years Jose Guadalupe Hernandez, son Ernesto (Blanca) Hernandez, daughters Ana (Armando) Espitia, Leticia H. Castaneda, grandchildren Araceli ( Ernesto) Alvarado, Ernesto Hernandez, Jr., Jorge A. Espitia, Joey Castaneda, Jr., Adrian Castaneda, Lizzy Hernandez, 5 great-granchildren, sister Socorro (Leonard) Jackson, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other loved relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Joe Jackson North Funeral Chapels, 1410 Jacaman Rd. from 5 to 9 in the evening.-A Prayer Service will be held at 7 in the evening.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Primer Iglesia Assembleas De Dios; Park Street and San Enrique,-for a service at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at Laredo City Cemetery.
