Enrique Texas

Mr. Enrique Fuentes, Jr., 78, entered into the kingdom of the Almighty on Friday, June 30, 2017, having been surrounded by his loving and caring family. He worked at Woolworth for over 15 years. It is during his employment that he met the love of his life, whom together enjoyed over 50 years of marriage and were blessed with an amazing family. Enrique retired from the US Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant, serving with the 4th Amphibious Reconnaissance Battalion.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Enrique Sr. & Belen L. Fuentes; daughter: Dinorah Eliza Fuentes; brother: Gustavo L. Fuentes; sisters: Graciela Cortez, Lilia Espinoza, and Delia Fuentes as well as by his niece Cynthia Villarreal.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved spouse of 50 years of marriage: Josefa Fuentes; children: Delia Fuentes, Enrique (Leticia) Fuentes III, Diana (Juan) San Miguel III; grandchildren: Josette Carrizales, Enrique Fuentes IV, Jesus Vielma, George Vielma, Juan F. San Miguel IV, Jazlynn E. San Miguel, Josue E. San Miguel, Jesus G. San Miguel; brother: Mario A. Fuentes (Maria) and sister: Ernestina Carrizales (Jose), as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will gather to receive condolences on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the chapel at Joe Jackson Heights with a Vigil and Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 8:40 a.m. to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment with Military Honors will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
