Enrique Serna

Enrique Serna, Sr., 88, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 30, 2010 surrounded by his loving family.
Enrique was a decorated veteran, having proudly served and defended our country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a well known barber for over sixty dedicated years and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Angela R. Serna; son: Roberto Serna; parents Jose H. and Jacinta S. Serna; and his brothers and sisters Jesus, Leopoldo, Hilario, Maria, Jose, Rosa, Pablo, Irma Serna and sister in law Sara Serna.

Enrique is survived by his children Rebeca (Tomas) Gutierrez, Rosa Maria (Ignacio) Centeno, and Enrique (Beatriz) Serna, Jr.; sisters Margaret Serna of San Antonio and Raquel (Ramon) Rodriguez of Houston; brother Arturo (Graciela) Serna of San Antonio; and sisters-in-law and Guadalupe Serna. He is also survived by his adored grandchildren Diana, Tommy and Christina; Ignacio, Ricardo, Angela and Alberto; and Enrique III, Bobby and Sandy; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; as well as other loved relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to: the staff at LMC, the staff and nurses at Amistad Home Health, Mrs. Laura Montelongo and Amanda Chavez from B First and to the staff, doctors and nurses at the VA Clinic for their care and attention.
