Enrique Paredes Jr.

Mr. Enrique S. “Titol” Paredes, Jr., 90, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in Uvalde, Texas, where he resided there for the last six years. Mr. Paredes was born on July 2, 1928. He was very well known for his family owned heavy equipment operating company, Paredes and Sons Landclearing, a company that to this day, still is in operation. His talent and hardworking skills brought him great success in life. His business served most of the ranching community throughout South Texas.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years of marriage: Araceli Rubio Paredes; son: Carlos Paredes; parents: Enrique and Herminia Paredes; four brothers and one sister.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his children: Sandra (Ricardo) Cortez, Elsa (Eric) Martin, Edna (John) Smalley, Enrique Ricardo (Irma) Paredes, Jorge Luis (Elsa) Paredes, Martha (Mario Alfonso) Cortez, Eunice (Humberto) Ramos, Damaris (Eduardo) Aguilar; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; sister: Dolores Cadena, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez. A discourse will be held 6 p.m., led by Elder Dion Morin.

Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, November 26, 2018 at 10 a.m.

Procession will form and continue to the family plot at the Laredo City Cemetery.
