Enrique Lara, III

Enrique “Superman” Lara III, 50, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Thursday, November 8, 2018.

Enrique was a fun and loving person to all who knew him. He especially loved his Dallas Cowboys team, and enjoyed BBQ’s, listening to great music while gathering with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Manuel and Refugio Solis; paternal grandparents, Enrique and Rosa Lara; uncles, Jose Javier Lara, and Manuel Solis, Jr.; and his nephew Jesse Ibarra III.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 23 years of marriage, Sonia R. Lara; daughter Stephanie Lara; son Enrique Lara IV.; his parents, Enrique (Hilda Sylvia) Lara, Jr.; brothers, Juan Manuel (Carol) Lara, Jaime Lara (Jessica Perez); sister Sonia Lara. He is also survived by his in-laws, Victor (Maria Luisa) Reyes, Sr., Victor (Francisca) Reyes, Maria Luisa (Raul) Villarreal, Rosalinda Reyes, Ester Reyes, Sylvia (Ramiro) Peña, Andres (Cindy) Reyes, Roberto (Alicia) Reyes, Daniel (Mary) Reyes, Gabriel (Maria Luisa) Reyes, and Guillermo (Sandra) Reyes. He is also survived by numerous nephew, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Wednesday evening, November 14, 2018 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday morning, November 15, 2018 departing at 8:30 a.m. from Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels to San Vicente de Paul Catholic Church for a Mass at 9:00 a.m.

A private cremation and inurnment will be held at a later date.
