Emilio N. "Chico" Jacaman passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the age of 84.-Chico was born in Laredo, Texas, on November 16, 1926 to Nicolas S. Jacaman and Margarita G. de Jacaman.-He was a lifelong resident of Laredo, who had a passion for his family and for his work.-After he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was elected to the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society, he proudly served in the Chemical Corp of the Armed Forces for several years.-He returned home to start his own business, Jacaman Gift Co., which he operated until his retirement in 2009.-Chico enjoyed traveling the world to find new products, restoring his antique cars, and going for Sunday drives around town.-He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.-
He is survived by his children Debbie, Sandra, Andrea (Alberto Lopez) Jacaman, Nick (Marisela), Mark, and Miriam; his grandchildren Jordan, Nicolas, Lamar, Caroline, Cole, and Paco; his sisters, Josephine (George) Talamas, Graciela (Jose) Canahuati; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Ana Maria Hierro Melendez for her loving care during the last year of his life.-
Pallbearers will be: Alberto Lopez, Mike Jacaman, Alfredo Jacaman, Jesse Jacaman, Kerim Jacaman, Chuck Jacaman, Fred de Llano, and Frank Meurer.
Mr. Robert Holliday will be the Honorary Pallbearer.
