EMILIA MUÑIZ

November 1, 1936 – October 1, 2020

Mrs. Emilia Muñiz, 83, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 1, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ricardo, parents: Antonio and Evangelina Elizalde and her beloved twin sister, Santos Rangel, siblings: Frances Galvan, Guadalupe Elizalde, Luis Elizalde, Manuel Elizalde, and Gustavo Elizalde.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children:  Ricardo (Cristina) Muñiz Jr., Maria Magdalena (Jose, Sr.) Veliz, Manuel (Maria) Muñiz, Maria de Lourdes (Francisco Javier) Rodriguez Sr., Daniel Francisco (Clara) Muñiz Sr., Juan Antonio (Raquel) Muñiz, Emilia (Daniel) Banda, Maria del Carmen (Michael) Nuñez and Patricia (Tony) Lopez; 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She is also survived by her siblings, Ruben Elizalde, Bertha Fiss, Jose Angel (Juana) Elizalde, Antonio (Guadalupe) Elizalde, Dagoberto (Cristina) Elizalde, and Enrique (Norma) Elizalde.

The family will receive condolences on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7 p.m.

Funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel at 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday, October 06, 2020 to Santo Niño Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Ricardo Muñiz, Jr., Manuel Muñiz, Daniel Francisco Muñiz, Juan Antonio Muñiz, Adrian Lopez, Francisco Rodriguez Jr., David G. Muñiz, and Jaime Veliz.
