Elodio Cruz

After battling Leukemia, Eloy Santa Cruz, 78 passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas.-His wife, family and grand children were his pride and joy.-He loved life and his bajo-sexto, he made beautiful music and truly enjoyed family and friends get togethers.-His loving kindness touched his entire family and everyone that crossed his path.-He was a grand husband, father and an extraordinary grandfather.-He was a ray of sunlight.-This is just a glimpse into Eloy's life.-

He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Candelaria Santa Cruz, daughters Norma Santa Cruz Sarmiento and Claudia Delia Santa Cruz.

Mr. Santa Cruz is survived by his wife Delia J. Flores Santa Cruz; children: Linda M. Santa Cruz, Eloy Santa Cruz Sr., Esperanza (Tony) Contreras Sr., Diana R. Santa Cruz and Martin Santa Cruz.-His grandchildren: Ruben (Adriana) Coe, Claudia Villarreal, Julissa Sarmiento, Tony Contreras Jr., Andres Contreras, Sophia (Niky) Mosconi, Eloy Santa Cruz Jr., and great-granddaughter Addison Coe.-He is further survived by several brothers, sisters, nieces, nepews, other loved relatives and friends.

Funeral procession will depart on Monday, March 18, 2013 at 8 a.m. from the funeral home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30 a.m.

Interment will then follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
