Eliza de Lachica Trevio
March 8, 1962 - April 1, 2016
Eliza de Lachica Trevio, 54, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a valiant and courageous fight with cancer. Her strong will to live, unwavering faith in God and the love and prayers of family, friends and many supporters carried her through the grueling 3 ½ years of pain. Even throughout her own struggle with Cancer, she reached out to others affected by the horrendous disease.
Lizzy, as she was affectionately called, was the youngest of the de Lachica children. She was born on March 8, 1962 in Laredo, Texas to Alberto J. and Ofelia G. de Lachica. As a child, she possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining sense of humor. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many, who even now are being changed by her witness of constant nurturing love and faith. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter, and joking around, will never be forgotten. Lizzy enjoyed family gatherings and her happiest and proudest moments were her two sons and their accomplishments.
After graduating from Martin High School, Lizzy received her business degree from Laredo State University. In 1982 she began her banking career with International Bank of Commerce. In 1990 Lizzy joined the Laredo National Bank which is now BBVA Compass Bank. Possessing a true banker's heart Lizzy kept abreast of her clients' requests by calling and checking on them on continuous bases.
Lizzy is preceded in death by her father, Alberto J. de Lachica.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 29 years, Jose Alberto Trevio, Jr.; her sons, Jose Alberto (Alby) Trevio, III. and Daniel Diego Trevino.
Her mother, Ofelia G. de Lachica; siblings; Rosario de Lachica, Cordelia (Roberto) Valdez, Alberto J. (Maria Elena) de Lachica, Jr., Maria Lydia (Richard) Esdorn and Eduardo D. (Sylvia) de Lachica.

The family would like to thank BBVA Compass Bank and all her coworkers for their unconditional love and support given to her during her strenuous times.
