Mrs. Elisa M. Cortes, 94, joined our Lord in His heavenly kingdom on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente and Ana Maria Medina; husband, Jose Francisco Cortes; great-granddaughter, Gabriella Eliza Morales; and son-in-law, Steven Seamone.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ana Elisa (Oscar) Flores, Luz Cristina Seamone, Maria Guadalupe Casas, Myriam (Jose) Gomez; grandchildren, Oscar Francisco Flores, Ana Maria Elisa (Daniel) Morales, Steven Anthony (Anna) Seamone, Douglas Francisco Seamone, Cristina Isabel Casas, Anelle Eliza Casas, Lorena Alejandra Gomez, Daniel Jose Gomez, Rebecca Olivia Gomez; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Sarah, Brandon, Ethan Flores, Daniel, Juan Diego, Lilianna Morales, Lincoln Seamone; and great-great-grandchildren, Alexander and Abigail Flores.  She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving condolences on Friday evening, January 26, 2024, from 5pm to 9pm at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services, 719 Loring at Cortez.; where a Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will commence at 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday morning, January 27, 2024 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.  Everyone is encouraged to meet at church.

Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
