Elida Garcia

Mrs. Elida L. Garcia, 79, of Laredo, entered into the presence of God the Almighty the evening of Thursday, the 28th of December 2017.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Arnulfo Garcia, Jr.; parents: Juan and Otila Lopez; sisters: Yolanda Lopez and Eliza Lopez; grandson, Adam Raines.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her beloved children: Araceli Garcia, Sylvia Bridges, Denise (Alonzo) Rubio, Michael (Sandra) Garcia and Annette G. (Jacinto) Villagomez; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her one brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends,

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels, 719 Loring at Cortez with a Rosary being recited at 7 p.m.

Funeral cortege will depart on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 8:40 a.m. to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.

Rite of Committal will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Alonzo Rubio Sr., Alonzo Rubio Jr., Adrian Rubio, Michael Garcia, Jacinto Villagomez, Michael A. Garcia, Elaine Garcia and John Bridges III.
